Did you know that successive governments have failed to protect our rivers and will fail to meet legally binding targets to restore the health of our rivers by 2027. Bigbury Net Zero has teamed up with Avon River Champions to restore the health of the River Avon and Bigbury Bay.

OUR AIMS

Collate and scrutinise EA monitoring data and the Rivers Trust Sewage Map on the sources of river and sea pollution from South West Water, Agriculture and local businesses. Identify the sources and seek local solutions to prevent this from happening.

Create awareness about how we, as households contribute to sewage pollution through what we flush down the loo or pour down the drains.

Champion businesses, farms and individuals who are river-sensitive and pollution aware.
